Looking to the present overall Industrial growth & development in Gujarat and market scenario, GIIC has undertaken debt restructuring and consolidated its position. GIIC has become almost debt free and we are also drawing the path for the future activities of GIIC.

GIIC has taken up all efforts to settle debt of Government of Gujarat, our efforts are toward turning around GIIC completely and making it totally debt free company by April 2009.

In fact, we are making concentrated efforts to improve our recovery performance and reduce NPA. We have also drawn the new role for GIIC, to do the work of non-fund based activities like Appraisal work for Tourism Projects, Sales Tax Incentive Appraisal work, Work for preparation of Valuation Reports for Industrial Projects and also Processing Sale of Assets for FIs / Bank.

I am Sure, with steady growth rate in the country and focused & concentrated approach for Industrial Development by Government of Gujarat, GIIC will play meaningful role.
